For my card I used an older Mojo Monday sketch from their sketch library found on their challenge blog - I LOVE Mojo Mondays Sketches!! If you're stumped on a card layout their website is a must for inspiration! I coloured in my flower with regular Stampin' Up markers to begin. I printed my digi image twice so that I can add that dimention to my petals. I used glue dots to give that added dimension but regret that since they started almost falling apart!! Next time some sturdy foam dots it is! I then used some papers from my stash and added my Faux White Gel Pen stiching to finish off my card! I used a Pink by Design stamp set for my sentiment as well.

Hi everyone! Well its a long weekend here in Ontario and I've been enjoying lots of time to myself - much needed! I'm sorry this post is a little late. This week for the Love To Create Challenge we are asked to create a colour combo card using Pink Navy and one other colour! Ok so today I used The Pixie Cottage Digital Image Tea For Two digi image. How CUTE is this little set of chairs and table?? I thought it would be appropriate to use this card as an"I Miss You" themed card as something about the chairs and table reminded me of time to catch up, or its been a while.

I coloured my image with Copics - again! I used an accent colour of pale yellow. My paper is from my stash - after reorganzing my room (pics to come soon) I found a TON of loose paper and decided to put it to good to use on my cards - so my apologies if I do not know where the papers came from. However I do know that the card base is Hawain Shores CS from Papertrey Ink. I used various flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and I am Roses - love flowers on my cards, can ya tell? lol! I added some Startdust Stickles and used one of my FAV' Martha Stewart punches - the Doily Border punch.

Sweet Stamps Challenge #53 - Roses

Hi everyone and HAPPY VALNETINE'S DAY!! I'm back today to showcase my very FIRST card creation as a new Designer for Sweet Stamps!! I'm so thrilled to be a part of such an amazing groups of talented women on this team!

For this week's challenge we are asked to create a card with Roses! Easy Peasy and how appropriate for the ocassion huh?!

For my creation I wanted to go with a vinatgey look - something about the way these stamps were designed just screamed vintage to me. I first decided to stamp the Rose Single Right & Left Duo 7004 using Versmark on my card base to offer that tone on tone look - something about that look reminded me of an old vintage wall paper designs. Then, I loved the baroque type frame -Flowery Frame 831 - and colouring it in using my Stampin' Up watercolour pencil crayons (although I didnt water colour, I used them to create a faded kind of texture - I love how they also blended really well together, pencil crayons seem to be my go-to colouring medium when I am looking for that old feathered kind of look - hope this makes sense lol!)

Moving on to the focal point - Cutwork Rose 7011 - the roses were a blast to colour in and then cutting and layering to add that dimensional look - which I absolutely LOVE love love!! I did that for the centre cluster of roses and then just popped the accent pieces - Rose Single Right & Left Duo 7004 - on both corners on pop dots. You can really see the dimension on my card in the picture above!

Love To Create Challenge #2 - Buttons & Bows

Hello everyone!! I'm back with another card creation for the Love To Create Challenge blog! For this week's challenge you are asked to create a card with buttons and bows on it! We are being sponsored by another one of my FAV' digi companies Sassy Studio Desogns! I used the sweet Holiday Belle Honey for my main image on my card and I just ADORE her!! How sweet is she???

Ok so onto the recipe for this card:

Card base is from Birthday Bash Cricut cart cut at 5.75" along with the other two circles you see layered on top cut at 5.5" and 4.75".

My ribbon and bow is from Papertrey Ink

The sentiment is from Pink By Design "All Girl" set - I thought it went approprtiately with the darling image as she looks like shes ready for the ball!

My sweet image is coloured with Copics and for added pizazze I gave her some Glossy Accents on her earings and a little to accent her dress and hair band.

Love To Create Challenge #1 - Love is in the air!

Hi everyone!! I am so thrilled to showcase my very first card design for the all new challenge blog Love To Create!! This week we are being sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps - an ubber cute digital stamp store that is my go-to for some awesome and unique cute stamps!! The challenge is a card sketch with the colours of Red, Pink and white incorporated somehow in your creation. Easy and fun!!

For my card I used a my FAV' card size 5x5. I used some old Stampin'Up DP for my card which I have been hoarding forever!! My cute image was coloured with my Copics. And I cut a super cute card Wrap from my Silhouette to act as the envelope for my card. Don't you love it?? I'm in love with these card wraps!! I used some twine to tie it all together. My sentiment is from the Love Always stamp set by Pink By Design

Valentine Treat Holders

Hi everyone! Ok, so here is a small selection of Valentine goodie holders I created for some of my customers. I decided to put to use my little Silhouette machine for all of the cute boxes and gift card holders you see. I just ADORE this machine! I'm so tempted to upgrade to the Cameo - yikes! My house has become full of electronic cutting devices lol!! The sentiments you see are all from the Pink By Design stamp set Love Always - I just love the sweet sentiments and the array of beautiful fonts. The flowers and leaves used are all from Wild Orchard Crafts minus the gold leaves, those are from my stash. I hope you all like these I would love to hear your thoughts! Back with yet another Unity Stamps card - this one features a really awesome technique called gradation..it consists of 3rd, 2nd and 1st generation stamping...I just adore this bicycle image from the Love Life stamp set by Melody Ross and the cute sentiment is from Sending my Love by Lisa Hetrick. Very clean and simple and a card I often re-create as it sells so quick!!

Hello everyone! Happy Saturday! Soooo how do you guys like my new made over blog?? I'm still working on a few minor details like the picture size - which I used on today's post and I LOVE the new big size!! I have to thank Emily from Blogahlic Designs for creating my new look and FACEBOOK PAGE!!! I LOVE the way everything turned out!! So today's card features a Unity Stamp - have I ever told you about my obsession with this stamp company?? I have been hooked on Unity Stamps for as long as I can remember and I think I own almost all of their stamps!! The cards I create using this company's stamps are ALWAYS without fail are my best sellers..I think the stamps alone say so much since the designs are always so bold you don't need much embellishment.. Happiness - Sweet Tilda card

Ok and here's my final card for today - another 5x5 (my "go-to" card size!). On this one I used my cute Magnolia stamp - as you know my obsession with these darlings! I coloured her in with my Copics and I used my Nestabilities oval and scalloped oval dies to create the frame she is sitting on. I added some Wild Orchard Crafts flowers - my fav' embellishment next to bling which I used as well to finish off the accent pieces..and finally another sentiment stamp form the Pink By Design store "Love Always" set...can you tell how much I love that set?! I hope you enjoyed this three card mini series today! I will be posting more tomorrow!

Wild Sprouts Stella - The Greeting Farm Card

Hi again! Brace yourself with a few more posts today! I am back with a bang! Here is another 5x5 card I created as part of my Valentine Card collection for this year. I used this Super cute Greeting Farm image - WS Stella...I just adore her!! I used a monochromatic colouring scheme to colour this cutie in using my Prisma Coloued Pencils in black and white only and coloured on Kraft cardstock...I absolutely LOVE this colouring technique as its so unique and bold as well as it has that added vintage feel to it which you all know I love! I used an older My Mind's Eye paper pad for the DP and the sentiment is from Pink By Design "Love Always" set - I love Sarah's sentiment stamps

Hi everyone!! It has been quite a while huh?? life just keeps getting in the way ugh!! However I am still crafting yaee!! Just Magnolia Challenge Anything Goes!

Hi all! Here is a super sweet card I just finished putting together for the Just Magnolia Challenge blog. As you all know, I am in LOVE with Magnolia stamps and I put LOTS and LOTS of time and effort into all of my card creation when it comes down to my Magnolia', and this card is no exception to that. It took my a whole 2 DAYS to design and complete and I am totally happy with the result!! I don't have too many bday cards on hand so I decided to turn this one into one of them. Hi everyone! I am back with another creation. This time for the Cricut Cardz Challenge blog. Its not a card this time around, but a bookmark. I really enjoyed this challenge as it took me out of my card making realm and I found that I loved it so much I made so many more! It was really simple to make. I used the Forever Young and Fabulous Finds carts. The FY cart was used for the dress form and the FF cart was used for the main bookmark as well as the flowers.

Magnolia Mania!!

Hi everyone! I have been loving being in my scrap room all day today just creating away! I have been having so much fun making all sorts of card creations with my sweet Magnolia stamps. I just ADORE these stamps - in case you don't already know lol! I am so excited to get them back out and have fun with them - its been so long!

For today's card I have used Bride Magnolia with her flower girl and tried to incorporate the colours I used for my wedding, lots of pale pinks and vanillas. I LOVE the way this twist easel card turned out as it was first attempt at it, and I must say I love it the style!

For my other card I used Magnolia with her bird cage as I wanted to crack open and play with my Tim Holtz bird cage die. I also adore the way the card came together.

Just Magnolia -Love You Challenge

Hey everyone! I am back to share another card creation. Today's card was made with a vintage feel in mind. I adore all things vintage and my goal is to create more vintage style cards. Therefore I decide to incorporate my Magnolia images- which have sadly been collecting dust! - into this months Just Magnolia Challenge. This month the theme is Love. My card doesn't really have anything on it indicating love but it has that whimsical feel to it that can be associated with love so I decided to enter it.
Ok, so my main image was coloured with Copics, as usual! I used My Mind's Eye DP, some bling from my LSS, some I am Roses flowers, a stick pin I created and an old torn piece of book page to give it more of that vintage feel.

CCC Challenge #60 - Masculine Valentine

Hi everyone! Sorry for the late post, we've been snowed in and had lots to do!
Today's card is for another Cricut Cardz challenge. This week we need to make a Masculine Valentines Day card. I tried to keep this card as masculine as possible by using some blues and neutrals. I LOVE the way it turned out!! Especially those super stinkin' CUUUTE Peachy Keen faces!! Aren't they just ADORABLE?!!

This card is a 5x5 card. I welded the "XOXO" on the bottom of my card to add that border effect and that came from Smiley Cards. I then layered the "X's" in red and added some Xmas Red Stickles to make them pop. The base of my card is 2 welded squares from Accent Essentials - my "got-to" cart for basic shapes. The hearts are from Create a Critter and sized them so that they layer as if it were the shadow layer, all done on my Gypsy.

Saturday's At The Cafe' - All About Love and More!

Hi everyone! Sorry for the late post - I had a very busy weekend! Today I am sharing with you another card creation using The Cutting Cafe' Valentine Files.

Here are the files I have used:
ASSORTED HEART CARD TEMPLATES - for my card and envelope
WORDS OF LOVE COLOURED SET - for the envelope background paper
ALL ABOUT LOVE - for the flower

I just ADORE the way this card turned out!! The colours went well together and it all just flowed perfectly! I used some Glossy Accents to accent the center of my flower and one of the red hearts on the front of my card. I also used my brand new Martha Stewart Bubble punch on both my card and my envelope. This just shows how versatile these files can be, as I used one of the Words of Love coloured set to print out my envelope on. I did hand cut all of my pieces as I do not own SCAL, however if you do, even more the fun!

Hi everyone! Here is another Cricut Cardz Challenge card fro you this week. You are required to create a card using any cartridge and colours but as long as there is a snowman somewhere on your card. For my card I used Snow Friends for my cute snowman - he was cut at 4.0" and Accent Essentials for the scalloped squares - they were cut at 5" and 4.5". I used my super cute Peachy Keen stamps "snow cuties faces" for my snowman's face and of course my Scrappy Moms stamp set for my sentiment.

Hi everyone! Here is another card I created for the Cutting Cafe. I used Regina's new ANIMAL AND BUG MINI COLORED CIRCLE SET for my cute little elephant, the background heart DP as well as my pink circle frame that I added Icicle Stickles too. This is a 5X5 card - my FAV' to work with. The base cardstock is Riding Hood Red from SU as well as my pink ruffled trim and my layered flowers are all from Prima.

Happy New Year everyone!! I hope you all had a FABULOUS winter break and I wish you all the very best in 2011! It was a very busy one for me but a real good one I must say!! I got my Cricut Imagine from my DH!!! The only thing was that it was defected so I had o return for a new one - so I cannot wait to get+ it and start playing! I hope Santa was good to you all too!! I'm sure he was!

I have missed crafti7ng with the hussle and bussle of the holiday season, I lost my craftiness somewhere in there - but I am back now and starting up again with more exciting projects!

Today's card is for the Cricut Cardz Challenge #56. You are asked to create a card with a clock on it. I used My Community CC for my clock - I absolutely LOVE this clock! I kept my card super simple as I didn't want to lose my focal point. I used one of my new Bugaboo stamps that I coloured in with my Copics (isn't she so much fun?! I love these Digi stamps!!) and my ever so fav' Scrappy Mom's stamps for my sentiment.

Gift Giving Ideas

Hi everyone! Here is what kept me bust today! I just love creating gift packages especially whe it's all about card making! Here I created a super cute Gift Tag box set and an acetate box set holding 5 cards and envelopes! Aren't they adorbale?? Who wouldn't want these? We are all in need of Holiday Cards and Gift Tags and when they are handmade they make even more special!

I used my Digital Delights by Louby Lou digital stamps for both sets. I just adore these cuties!

CCC Challenge 54

Hi everyone! I am back with this week`s Cricut Cardz Challenge. This week we are asked to make a circle shaped Christmas card but WITHOUT using Red or Green. So I cam up with this!

I used Accent Essential for the Circle shapes and my `snowflake`like shape and Winter Frolic for my cute penguin. I added some bling and pearls as well as my Scrappy Moms Winter Wishes stamp set to finish things off.

Hi everyone I am back with two new cards made using my new Cricut cart. 3 Birds On Parade. I juts LOVE it!! I used the two cute holiday birds - one with the string of lights and the other Santa bird. Both were cut at 3.5". The base for for each card uses Real Red cardstock from Stampin'Up and Hawain Shores cardstock from Papertrey Ink. I used some of my DCWV Holiday Stack paper and My Mind's Eye Christmas stack as my DP. I also used the Peachy Keen critter faces stamp for my Santa birds eyes. I finished off using the Scrappy Moms Winter Wishes stamp set for my sentiments.

Altered Wood Box Uisng Foil Technique

Hi everyone! I am back with an altered wood box that I created using the Foil Technique. I just LOVE the way this box turned out it's totally up my creative alley of rustic and vintage art. It's been a while since I created an altered piece since I have been busy creating all of my cards, but I have to say I will be making much more!
So this started out as a plain wood box from my local Dollar store. I started by gluing down some different findings on the lid of the box. When that was dried up I took some Heavy Duty aluminum f0il and that was where the fun began! I added some Mod Podge then, I began laying down the foil. When that was done, I went around the whole box doing the same technique, I started pressing down around the findings under the foil using an embossing stylus - as shown in the pics above. When I was pleased with the way it looked, I started to paint the entire box using
copper paint. When that dried I used some black paint to go around the creeks and crevasses, then I spritzed it with water and used a cloth to wipe off the top layer of the black paint so that the rest can lay in the crevasses to offer that worn, aged look. After that I spritzed the entire box with Turquoise Tawny Moon Shadow Mist by Lindy's Stamp Gang which offered an even more rustic llok. I just LOVED that touch!! To finish off the box I added some Prima bling and I am Roses flowers and leaves to go around the box with some trim from Stampin' Up that I glimmered misted as well using Copper Mist.
That's it folks! It was that easy and it didn't take as long as it may look it did!

CCC Challenge #52

Hi all! I am bcj with a new Cricut Cardz Challenge for this week. We were aksed to make a card with a sentiment ONLY from any Cricut cart you'd like using any colours you'd like. I had so much fun making one, I had to make another :). Both are very simple and are made a little differently this time. The base for both cards are cut at 7"x9" and scored at 3.5" to make a long card that will fit into any standard business sized envelope. They were real fun to make and I think a new fav' of mine :).
The sentiments are all cut from the Winter Frolic CC and the DP is from My Mind's Eye winter holiday pack - I think from last year's collection.

"Owl" Be Home For Christmas

WOW! Card #3 today! I really got my mojo back! This is another card deign I had sitting in my Gypsy that I hadn't had a chance to create due to the show. But I just LOVE the way these cute owls turned out! I used Crumb Cake CS from SU cut at 5x5, I then used My Mind's Eye DP from one of their Christmas stacks for all of the DP on the card, and the sentiment is a chipboard sticker from a holiday pack I had bought at my local Dollar store. The card was soooo super easy to make and I just ADORE it!

Hi everyone! I am back with another creation! Today I designed this super cute Gingerbread shaped card with my Gypsy and Cricut. I used my new Winter Frolic CC to make the entire card and the added embellishments were all from my local Dollar Store.

Finally! My Blog Makeover!

Hi everyone! I am terribly sorry for being MIA for quite a while! Things on my end have been a little hectic. I am going to be participating in my very first craft show this upcoming weekend and that has been keeping me SUPER busy creating cards and goodies. And secondly, I have been working hard on finally giving my blog a MAKEOVER!!! My very talented designer Wendy from Delightful Custom blogs and Digital Delights has worked with me for that past few days in creating this new blog design for me. Didn't she just do a FABULOUS job?? I HIGHLY recommend her work and her SUPER CUTE digi stamps! I have had LOADS of fun creating with them!

The Greeting Farm Halloween Easel Card

Hi everyone! Here is a card project I was working on. It took a few days as I used lots of techniques on it and tried something new and "out of the box" sort of speak!

First off this is an easel card - one of my fav' cards to make! I used a Greeting Farm stamp (also one of my fav' stamp lines) coloured her in with my Stampin' Up markers this time and bling'd her up with Stickles - OF COURSE!
Then I used my Tim Holtz Bingo card embossing folder and my Moon Shadow mists by Lindy's Stamp Gang to give my background piece that metallic effect - I just LOVE the way it turned out! I highly recommend Lindy's products.
I then "highlighted" the number 31 with Black Diamond Stickles to make it stand out and embossed the words "Happy Halloween" using my PK Glitz embossing powder. I also edged the piece with the same embossing powder to give it that crackly/aged effect.
Then I added my new fav' Martha Stewart Spider Web punch at the bottom of my first layer and on the inside I used the spider web corner punch to bring it all together.
To top off my card I added some dollar store embellies - like the word "Boo", the bats, skeleton and spider!

CCC Challenge #46 - Anything Goes!

Hi everyone! Here is this week's card creation up for the Cricut Cardz Challenge blog. This week ANYTHING GOES! Meaning you are free to let your imagination roam and create whatever you'd like using any CC you'd like! Fun huh?!
So this is what I came up with - another Halloween themed card used Happy Hauntings CC -to create the haunted house, ghost and half moon- and my well loved Cri-Kits gel pens.

I first designed the layout of the card on my Gypsy and then drew it out using my gel pens. I then coloured in the image with my Copics and cut out a fence to make it appear as though the haunted house is in the distance. I used Weathered Wood Distress ink by Tim Holtz to give my background that spooky stormy sky effect. Then I coloured Lilith from Tickled Pink stamps and cut her out and popped her on pop dost to add dimension. OH, I forgot to mention the Martha Stewart spider punch that was used on the side panel of my card and was also bling'd up as well! Lastly I used my love of STICKLES to bling up my card!
I really like the total effect I got from the outcome of this card.

CC Challenge #44- A "Z-Fold" Halloween Card

Hi everyone! I am today with another creation for the Cricut Cardz Challenge blog. This week we are making a Z-Fold Halloween card using any Cricut cart. you'd like! Super simple!
Well of course I had to put to use my Cri-Kits! I used them along with my Happy Hauntings CC and my Gypsy. I used my gel pens to draw out my sentiment and then found three pumpkins welded them together and added them to the front. I also used my Monster Faces Peachy Keen stamps on my pumpkins which I think turned out so stinkin' cute!! The I added a spider web trim with my new Martha Stewart spider web punch and added some of the K&Company Halloween stack DP just to jazz up my card a little more.
If you would like to know how to make this type of card you can visit the Splitcoast Stampers website where you will can find a tutorial on how to make this card. It is super simple to make - all you need to do is to fold the front flap half way so that it meets the fold of the card and there you have it!

Hi everyone! I am back with another Cricut creation. This time I used my new Cri-Kits gel pens along with my Gypsy to create my card. I used the gel pens to draw out Minnie Mouse then I used the shadow feature to cut around the image. I just LOVE this new way of creating with my Cricut - its the next best thing to the Cricut Imagine! I coloured in my image with my Copic markers which I am thrilled to say DO NOT bleed when colouring in with these gel pens. These pens are truly a MUST have and they are super affordable too! They come in so handy when you want to cut out an intricate image such as Minnie Mouse but can't do so when the layers are just so tiny! How frustrating huh? Well not when you sue these gel pens - you can cut any image at any size! Imagine the possibilities! I have TONS of ideas with these pens and I cannot wait to get crafting! Oh, I also used the Mini Monsters cart to weld the witches hat onto Minnie's head.
I welded the diamond ring found on the Disney cart. to make a shape cart and used my Scrappy Moms stamp set (as usual cause I love them!) A Haunting We Will Go.

I hope you all enjoyed this creation and that I have inspired you in some way to create with these gel pens! They are truly amazing!

CC Challenge #42- A Halloween Card

Hi everyone! sorry for the late post,been crazy busy this week again! This is the card I created for the Cricut Cardz challenge blog. All you have to do is create a Halloween themed card using any cartridge you like. So what I used was the Happy Hauntings CC. I designed this card on my Gypsy. I cut out the frame at 4.25", then I cut the witch on the broom at 2.5" and the bats at 1", 1.5", and 1.75". I used UTEE to give my little witch an epoxy look and basically went crazy with glitter and shine on the rest of the card. I also added some roses as accent pieces to finish off the card.

Halloween Project #2 - Gift Card Box

Hi everyone! I am back again to share with you this SUPER cute gift card box holder that I found over at Magnolia-Licious Highlites blog. This is a box created by Suzanne J. Dean - my Copic GURU!

Here are the dimensions to create this box.

6" x 8.5" cardstock base
on the 6" side score at 1" and 5"
on the 8.5" side score at 1" 3.75", 4.75" and 7.5"
score all sides and assemble box.

For the black corners of the box cut a 1" circle, fold to find the middle and then cut out a quarter. From there adhere what you are left with on to your box. You may add a belly band as I have on one of my boxes or a handle to make it appear as though it is a suitcase as I have done so on my second box. Halloween Project #1 - Card Box with 6 Cards

Hi everyone! It's the final long weekend of the summer and so I took advantage by creating as much as I could! Halloween is just a short month away and my fellow crafters have been quite busy inspiring me with their projects and cards so I decided to create this super cute card set and card box using my Cricut - of course!
I used Tags Bags Boxes and More to create the card box on a 12x12 piece of paper cut to fit to page - this will give you a box that will fit anywhere between 6-8 A2 sized cards in a box. I made six because with the added dimension it would be too tight of a fit in the box.
I then used all of the cut outs from Mini Monsters cut at 3". Lastly I used my new FAV' stamp set A Haunting We Will Go by Scrappy Moms Stamps - I must say they have the CUTEST and Sweetest sentiments that go just PERFECTLY with all of the CC's that are out there. I just adore them!!

CCC DT Challenge - Elmo Card

Hi everyone! I am so sorry it has been a long while since I have posted a new message and creation but life has been crazy busy lately!
As a DT member for the Cricut Cardz Challenge blog I have designed this super cute Birthday card using my Gypsy and a LOT of embossing!
I used the Elmo cut from the Sesame Street CC and cut him at 3". I then used my Storybook CC and cut out a window frame also at 3" and finally with my Lyrical Letters CC I cut out the balloons in Elmo's hand in various sizes from 1"-2.5".
I used a lot of embossing on my front layer with some numeric stamps that I lay on my front mat accordingly then used VersaMark and white embossing powder. I just LOVE the way this turned out! I always love when my vision comes to life as I had planned it!

I'm Back with new cards from my Gypsy!

Hi everyone! It's so good to be back! I have had major card making and video withdrawls while I was away!
I just had to share these cards I made before I had left on my vacation. I used my Gypsy to create them all. I hope you like them just as much as I did making them!
This first cute shape card was made using my Create a Critter cart. I welded the two forest trees together and then added my embellies - the cute little deer from Create a Critter as well as the butterfly, and the flowers from Forever Young CC. I used my new fav stamp set from Papertrey Ink Signature Greetings, some pearls from my local dollar store and some faux stitching all around the card for some added dimension. I also used my Critter Faces Peachy Keen set for the cute little deer.

My 2nd card is another shape card using a cute little birdhouse from Staright From the Nest CC. The cute little birds were also cut from the same cart. I used the Lovestruck Cart to make the heart with the banner over the birds and used the Hide Contour feature to make it a blackout embellie that I stamped my new Scrappy Moms sentiment in the middle which I thought went so well for this card. Then I added some Papertrey Ink ribbon at the very top with some pearls and faux stitching for added dimension.

And finally my very simple yet very elegant card made using my Flourishes stamp set and the spotlighting technique. I used my copics to colour in the rose, cut it out and placed in on foam dimensionals and added it over the it's original place of the stamped image on my card base.
I added some faux stitching once again and lastly a sentiment from the Signature Greetings stamp set from Papertrey Ink.

I designed this card with my Gypsy using Accents Essentials for the shapes and Life's a Beach for the Flamingo, palm leaves and flowers. I also used some bling (of course!) and my Martha Stewart leaf punch.

Farm Fresh Friday Challenge at the Greeting Farm!

Happy Sunday everyone! Here is my take on on the Farmer Fresh Friday sketch challenge over at the Greeting Farm! This is my very first entry for their challenge blog, and I will be participating more often as I have loads of GF stamps to use up!
I made this into a masculine card as they are the most challenging to make with the respect that you want to keep it simple and clean but yet add some touch of embellishing to it. I thought it would be PERFECT to add more Hemp Cord and buttons to this card as they scream masculinity to me for some reason!
The image was coloured in with my Copics of course!

A Magnolia-Licious Challenge! Free Standing Pop-Up Card!

Happy Monday everyone! Here is a quick share for you on a card I just finished creating for the Magnolia-Licious Challenge blog. We were asked to create a Free Standing Pop-Up card which I found the tutorial for this card on Splitcoast Stampers. This was another BLAST to make!! I just LOVE the way it turned out!!! I have never created such a card and was super thrilled with the end result - not bad for a first huh?
Ok so here is what I used. Of course my cute Oops Tilda - sooooo darn cute!! I coloured her in with my Distress inks. I then used AC cardstock and K&Co DP. I used and EK Success border punch that I just purchased and simple adore from Walmart for the edging around the top of the card - shown in picture above. I also used some Prima roses, some ELine Bling and some SU Certainly Celery ribbon.

Just Magnolia Challenge - Special Monthly Challenge

I am back with yet another Just Magnolia Challenge card!
I just LOVED creating this card - a Criss-Cross card. It was loads of fun to create and I always enjoy creating and learning new and interesting ways to make cards. If you head on over to the Just Magnolia site you will be directed to a great tutorial on how to make this card. I have been so inspired by this card that I thought I would do A Card in the Making video tutorial for you all as well. For this card I used my cute Easter Bunny Tilda but I am using this card for my niece's birthday as I still think it's quite versatile and cute - especially for a two yr old! I coloured this image in using my Distress ink pads in Shabby Shutters, Fired Brick and Dried Marigold. I just recently started using my Distress inks as a form of colouring in my images and I am having a BLAST! They offer such a nice subtle effect. Stay tuned because I will be making a video tutorial on this as well in the coming days.
The base CS is Almost Amethyst from SU and the DP is from my K&Co and DCWV stacks.

Throwback Thrusday Challenge - New Arrivals CC

Happy Sunday everyone! As the weekend slowly winds down to a close I thought I would share yet another card with you all that I just created for Throwback Thursday with Emma from My Creative Time. This is the first challenge I have participated in and plan on participating more often as these challenges are super fun!
This week's challenge Emma asked us to create anything with the New Arrivals Cricut Cart. I used the "It' a Boy" card 1 feature and cut it at 43/4". It was such a perfect challenge to participate in as my cousin just had a baby boy and so I plan on giving her this card.
I kept the card pretty simple (again, VERY hard for me to do!) I just wanted the the sentiment to be the focal point. I then cut out some baby rattles at 1", 1/2" and 13/4". I also added some SU So Saffron and Bashful Blue ribbon at the very top to add a little accent piece. The CS used was all American Crafts in Blue and Yellow.

Just Magnolia Challenge - A Sketch by Bev

Hi everyone! I hope you all are having a fabulous weekend! Here is my latest creation for the Just Magnolia challenge blog. This week Bev has put together a sweet sketch for us which was so fun to work - as usual! I just LOVE her sketches! Thank you Bev!
I used AC cardstock for my base cut at 51/2" by 51/2" and then my DCWV srping stack collection for the DP. Then some Prima Fairytale roses, bling and ribbon from my local dollar store and of course my sweet Tilda with Hearts and Edwin with his heart balloon colouring using my Copics!

Cute Card Thursday Challenge

Hi again! Boy am I on a card creating kick this weekend!! I am totally enjoying creatng these super cute cards using my new stinkin' sweet stamps I purchased from Susana's Custom Art and Card Designs. I just fell in LOVE with this cute little furry bear collection that I bought them all! Stay tuned for the next card coming up using the next image from this line (I promise to get the name down for you!).
I used my Copics to colour in this sweet image this time as well as some American Crafts cardstock and DP. In the close up shot you may notice some sparkle on this little guy's nose. I used my new Atyou Spica markers by Copics in Clear. These markers are just stunning! I LOVE them! They offer such GORGEOUS sparkle and shine to any project!
This card was entered in this week's Cute Card Thursday challenge. This week they have a sketch challenge going on which was soooo fun to play with!

Just Magnolia Challenge - Week 60 In the Garden

Hi everyone! Here is my latest card creation for the Just Magnolia week 60 challenge. This week we are asked to create an In the Garden themed card, so I decided to use Tilda blowing flowers. I used my Cricut Sentiments cartridge to create the flourishes surrounding my cute Tilda and the frame behind her as well. Then I used some dollar store flowers and bling to decorate the card as you all know I can't have a card without bling!
Now for the colouring of sweet Tilda, I sued my Distress ink pads and my waterbrush to colour her in and I just LOVE this technique!! Its sooo super easy and quick and offers such a suttle but stunning effect on your images. I love my Copics and Prismas but find I use up so much time trying to perfect my colouring but with thid new way of colouring (new for me that is!) I am done in minutes with gorgeous results!
Here are the clours I used: Skin - Dried Marigold and Worn Lipstick, Hair - Walnuts Stain, Brushed Corduroy, and Tea Dye, Clothes - Fired Brick, Shabby Shutters.
As for the sweet Magnolia Bird, I used the same colouring technique but used Dried Marigoled mixed with Fired Brick.
I hope you all enjoyed this card and I hope I offered you all something new to think about when wanting to colour in your images!

Here are a few cards I made a while ago, but never had the chance to post, using my Greeting Farm Cheeky collection stamps. I just ADORE these images - aren't they sooo stinkin' cute??? I just bought the new collection that came out so be looking out for new cards made with those.
I used my Copics to colour these sweet images in and some American Crafts patterned paper I found in my stash.

Hi everyone! I am back with a card, of course using my loves - Magnolia! Today I made a card for the Just Magnolia challenge. I used my Distress inks and my water brush to colour in this cute Maggie with her Bunny. I used paper from the DCWV spring stack as well as some American Crafts cardstock for the base and coral pink backing the stamped image. My card size is a 5x5 inch card (which has become one of my fav sizes of cards).

CCC Challenge Week #4 - Frosty Kisses Stair Step Card

Hi everyone! I'm so sorry for posting this late but this week has been incredibly busy for me at work. But I finally did manage to complete this week's Cricut Cardz Challenge week 4 challenge and I have to say I am so proud of the outcome on this card - another vision that I had mentally designed and so happy to see it come to life as planned!! It's not often that I gloat about my work but I can't help but feel this card turned out so super cute!
Okay, so here are the details:
This week's challenge is asking you to create a Stair Step card and if you head on over to our challenge blog HERE you will be able to click on the link that Mary posted directing you to her her YouTube channel where she gives us step-by-step directions to create this style card - which I must say is one of my fav's and will be making more of!!
So for this card I used my very NEW Winter Woodland Cricut cart. which I received in the mail this week!!!
I cut the branch at 2" as well as the berries
The birds were cut at 21/4" along with the layers
and the Frosty Kisses along with the layers were cut at 21/4" as well (I used the Shadow feature for the words Frosty Kisses as I wanted a more bolded look)
I then decided I wanted to incorporate my super sweet Magnolia Stamps into this card as I thought the New Year's kissing Tilda and Edwin went hand-in-hand with the sentiment "Frosty Kisses". I used my Prisma colouring pencils this time for the colouring in of sweet Tilda and Edwin - not too happy with the blending I did this time as it was very late and I was rushing a little!
Anyhow that's it for this week's challenge card guys. I hope you guys like it as much as I enjoyed creating it. I truly loved how the it came together having my cute Maggie Stamps sitting on one stair step and the sweet birds just underneath them with a perfect sentiment in the back bringing the card togther. I plan on adding some "bling" on this card as I LOVE it but again it was too late to embellish further - I just wanted to get the basic design out here for you.

Snowflake cut at 4"
Happy Holidays sentiment cut at 3"

CCC #2 - Give Thanks

Hi everyone!!! Ok, so it's week two over at Cricut Cardz Challenge and this week the challenge is to make a "give thanks" card using any Cricut cartridge you'd like - another super easy challenge right?!
So what I decided to create was a fall leaf wreath card and simply add the Happy Thanksgiving sentiment in the middle of the wreath. I had such a blast making this card and it turned out exactly as I had designed it to look like.
Here is the recipe:

Wild Card cart.
Scallop Circle card cut at 5"
Leaves cut at 31/2 and 31/4
Sentiment cut at 113/4

I used Stampin' Up cardstock for the base of my card as well as for the leaves that created the base of my wreath as I find the Cricut cuts this cardstock like butter!! Then for the outer layer of the wreath I used a DCWV paper stack (sorry don't remember the name off had as it was a scrap piece I had laying around) and poped those leaves on pop dots and then added Copper Stickles to accent the leaves.

I would like to thank all of you who participated in the first week's challenge - your creations were absolutely stunning!! And Congrats to Bright who won that challenge!!! I can;t wait to see what you all come up with this week.

Just Magnolia Challenge - Mina's Sketch

HI everyone!!! Ok so here is the card I made for Just Magnolia - due to the craziness in my life these days I have not been able to particpate in these sweet challenges for so long, but I found some "me" time this weekend and finally created a card for this week's challenge (yaeee!!).
I used the Tilda stamp holding a Merry Christmas banner and used the Happy Holidays 8x8 paper pack by Jackie Eckles for the paper piecing of the card. I just LOVE this paper stack which sadly has never been used - but boy does it have some AWESOME vintagey, non-traditional Christmas papers in it - it's soooo awesome!!! I also coloured in Tilda with my Copics and used the sentiment from my Annabelle Christmas stamp set to finish off the remainder of the sketch. I then used some Making Memories buttons that coordinated wonderfully with the colours of my DP as well as some flowers on the bottom left corner which I then took some Diamond Stickels and applied some to the petals.

Presenting: My New Found Loves

Hi everyone!!! I think I FINALLY got my mojo back!! I just finished creating this cute Halloween card for this weeks BasicGrey challenge - week 4 Embossing. I used my new found loves (next to my Maggies) these super super cute Motivet stamps! I used the ever so sweet Doraline on a Pumpkin stamp for this card that I designed on my own. I decided I wanted to make a different card this time for this challenge instead of combining my challenges with the Just Magnolia challenge as I typically do. I used a scalloped layer of the Ambrosia BG collection and an embossed piece of DP (sorry I don't remember the paper stack it came from, I just found this scrap piece of paper lying around) layered on the very back of the scalloped circles as a way to incorporate the challenge into my card. I also FINALLY used my poor neglected Copics (yaeee!!) and I am very proud of my colouring - too bad the pictures don't give me enough credit, but the correct amount of shading and blending all met my expectations!

I hope you liked my very ow design as well as these super cute stamps that I will be showcasing more of real soon! Also, stay tuned for my Just Magnolia challenge card coming soon too!

My TWS (Trade Wind Scrappers) Mini Album for Sandra!

Hi everyone! OK, so as promised here is my COMPLETED TWS mini album that I made for my partner Sandra, over at Life on the Scrapbeach. Sandra told me that she will be married for 7 years on November 14th and so that gave me a great idea to dedicate this album for her upcoming anniversary. I hope she likes it! :) It's all about "love"!

I wanted to mention that all the tags I posted were covered with a layer of Mod Podge that Arlene suggested to use to add strength to your tags as well as some shine. On one of the tags I used the Sparkle Mod Podge and I LOVE the way it turned out - so much shine and glitter!! Also, you won't believe this, but the DP paper that was used for this album was a paper stack I found at my local Dollar store!!! I LOVE the deal and I LOVE the colours of this stack!! I had to stock up on that for sure!! The album's colours are primarily Pink, Black, Purple & White but there is some touch of vintage in there too!

Just Magnolia Challenge - Mina's Sketch Meets Basic Grey Challenge Week 3!!

Hi everyone!!! Sorry it has been a while since I've posted something - I have been so busy preping for the new school year and any free time I have had I have been busy finishing up my TWS Mini Album swap for Life on the Scrap Beach - stay tuned for all the pics of this super cute mini, I made it for my swap partner Sandra.

Anyhow I just completed the Just Magnolia challenge for this week and it is a sketch provided by the very talented Mina, as well as the new BG challenge for week 3 - another colour inspiration. I decided to incorporate the two challenges into one again. I used the Wisteria 6x6 paper pad by BasicGrey and Tilda with her umbrella (not sure of the correct name of the stamp!) I used my infamous Prisma's to colour her in again (I feel so bad about neglecting my Copics! I have to put them to use for my next challenge!)

I really enjoyed these two challenges - the colour combo for the BG challenge was quite tricky in coming up with something that matched the inspiring pic provided. But I think I pulled it off quite well.

USE IT challenge #25

WOW! Two challenges in one day??!!! I am on a roll!!! My lovely cyber friend Mona sent me a message last night telling me that she is going to be featured as a guest designer for Use It Challenges. She asked me to play along if I'd like and I thought I'd give it a try. The concept of Use It is to try and use something in your craft stash that you for some reason have not used yet or don't want to because it looks so pretty sitting there in it's package (that's me!! lol). Anyhow I have a BasicGrey paper stash as well as a My Minds Eye paper pad that I have not been wanting to use so they came in hand in hand for this challenge. Mona is asking us to alter a plain old bag we may have lying around into a Halloween treat bag. Well I couldn't really find anything lying around and it dawned on me that I haven't even used my Tags, Bags, Boxes and More Cricut Cartridge as well!! So I pulled it out and began to play. And what I cam up with are these two little gift bags that can hold something sweet inside.

This project from start to finish used up all of my products that haven't been used yet and I'm happy that I could accomplish this goal. It felt good overcoming that hurdle, lol!! So thanks Mona for introducing me to this challenge blog.

I wanted to point out that for that tags on both bags, I hand made the letters on my own by using my Ranger embossing pen in clear and then embossing with white embossing powder. I think they turned out quite cute for not really having anything that would fit on that tags as they are fairly small. I highly reccomend this pen (again I have never used it before until today and I am in LOVE with it!!). It stays wet much longer then the VersaMark Pen and offers you much more definition. So try it out if you can! I also made the black and white crinkle paper for the inside of the bags by cutting super thin pieces of cardstock and then crunching them up into a ball to give that "crinkle" effect.

Friday Sketchers Challenge 67

TGIF everyone!! Boy am I glad this week is done because that mean there's only ONE more week left of camp (phewwww!!!)...I've been busy working on my Friday Sketchers challenge. This week Claudia gave us this design to work on.

It was sooooooo much fun to do - I love challenges with intricate layers!! It was optional that we use Blue and Orange so I just went ahead and used those colours for the entire card. I used yet another Magnolia stamp - this time Sitting Fall Tilda. I thought I would try and give my card a fall feel. I used DP from BasicGrey as well as K&Co (LOVE that line!!). The flowers are by Prima of course and I used my Prismas to colour in cute little Tilda.

BasicGrey Challenge #2

Hi everyone!! Okay, so I finally completed my BasicGrey Challenge!! This time's challenge was to create something with the colours Pink, Brown, and Yellow. I wanted to use some of my Stampin' Up stamps that I have so sadly neglected for the last little while, and so I turned to the 2009 catalogue for inspiration to make this card. I found this really cool looking card that reminded me of those old vintage rotary phones (and if you know me by now I LOVE anything vintage). So I scrap lifted the idea and made my own card using the colour for the challenge. We are asked toused at least one element of the card that's BasicGrey so I used one of their buttons for the centre of the flower on the "rotary" looking circle. Forgive because I have no clue what collection that button is from as I have all my buttons in one big box!!!

Cards For Kate Card Drive

Hi my fellow card makers and scrapbookers. I have been quite busy making a whole bunch of cards for a new card drive that I found out about while visiting one of my fav' blogs Jennifer McGuire - I'm sure a lot of you are familiar with this extremely talented and wonderful woman. She posted a very touching story about a young girl named Kate who has been diagnosed with brain cancer. I work with children and they mean the world to me so I wanted to help out immediately. When I saw that a card drive is being held and is open to everyone I thought this is a terrific way for me to reach out and let the family know they are in my prayers. All the details can be found HERE so PLEASE PLEASE do check this out and please join in the drive - I know that there is nothing more precious and special than receiving something hand made to show how much you care and I know that when I'm down there is nothing more that cheers me up then a simple little card that says someone is thinking of me. This is a great opportunity to show an amazing act of kindness and reach out your hearts to this family who needs to feel all the love in the world duirng this tough time.
I have made a little over 20 cards!! They are not all captured in my photos. I have chosen to gear my cards for Kate and her siblings which is why they are so cute and fun. Just Magnolia Challenge meets Basic Grey Challenge!!

Hi all!!! I am soooo thrilled at how great this card turned out to be!!! I incorprated the Basic Grey Challenge as well as the Just Magnolia Challenge into one card and I can't be more happier!! The BasicGrey challenge required us to use their DP in the sketch that is out by Tara - it was such a fun fun fun sketch!! Thanks Tara! And the Just Magnolia challenge was to make a crad with a friendship theme - so I did just so by combining both challenges! The DP that I used from BasicGrey was the Lime Rickey line which I can;t seem to get enough of!! The colurs are totally up my lane and so I think I need to get me some more of that as I have used it all up already!! I wanted my Tilda to be fun and real colourful since the DP was just that so I used my Prisma pencils and did a funky almost retro look with her socks - I think they're soooo super cute!! My Vintage Glimmer Mist Flowers!

Hi everyone!!! I'm so bummed that I haven't been able to slot some craft time to finish up my mini and also get some challenges unde way!! I have a big "to-do" list for this weekend! Summer camp is coming down to it's end (three more weeks left and I CANNOT wait!!!)...it has bee a veeeeery looooong and tiresome summer!

Anyhow onto today't creation! I bought Gimmer Mists by Tattered Angels in a wide variety of colours a long time ago and have yet to play with them. So tonight I thoight I'd try them out on some accordian fold flowers that I created and see how they'd turn out - I said that if they would turn out to my satisfaction I would post them - and they did!!! Oh my goodness I just LOVE the way these mists work and how they all mesh together and create new colours and not to mention the shine and true "glimmer" and sparkle they have to offer! I am sooooo impressed and very excited about these and can't wait to make more with them. I used a whole bunch of colours on these flowers that I layered and added buttons to. I hope you like them and feel free to make some for yourselves. If you don't have Glimmer Mists you can also use Shimmerz as I'm sure the outcome will be very similar. But if you do happen to purchase these you will soon fall in love with them too! The addiction is incredible I have been playing with these for the last few hours and will be going back to make more after this post. I took these pics in my vraft room with no natural light therefore you may not be able to see the clarity of the colours and shine - I wish you could all see them in person, they are truly amazing - but I tried to get as many close-up shots as I could. I hope you enjoyed and I hope this inspired you to create!

My First Challenge!!

Hi ladies!! I have been wanting to create a card for a challenge for soooooooooooo long but I could not for the life of me, dedicate enough time for one!! So today I put my mind to it and decided to create this Happy Birthday card for the Cute Card Thursday challenege. The challenge for this week was to create a card with the colours Teal and Red. I used a Gingersnaps stamp set called Celebrate - it can be found at All That Scraps.com. Does anyone know how I can put links up to make your lives easier?? The layout that I chose for this card was swapped from Sugar Nellie, one of their designers created a card with this layout and I just LOVED it - so I decided to use it for my card..I'm so new to this - my apologies!! Hi everyone! I can't get enough of these cute little Magnolia stamps!! I decided I'd use the Faux Metal technique on this card. I ran the piece of "metal" through my Cuttlebug and embossed it. I also thought it'd be cute to place a small envelope in the front of the card that could hold anything from a gift card to a message or photo in the inside to match Tilda holding an envelope in her hands.
